Google Toolbar Button for NutritionData
Click the link below to add an ND search button to your Google Toolbar. This search button returns the same list of foods as ND's FoodSearch tool, but allows you to search ND's databases from anywhere on the Net!
If the Google Toolbar isn't already installed on your browser, clicking the above link will take you to a page on Google's site where you can learn more about this free utility and download the software to install it.
Note: Google's Toolbar currently only works with the Internet Explorer browse.
How This Button Works
After you click the installation link above, the "ND" button will appear on your Google Toolbar, and a similar icon will appear in the Toolbar's search dropdown. Here's an example of how it looks:
- Search from Entry
Enter any food name into the Toolbar's search box and click "Go" or hit the Enter key. Results of your search will immediately appear in your browser window. - Visit NutritionData
The ND button to the right of the searchbox works just like a bookmark. Click it to go to ND's homepage. - Search from Text
The most innovative feature of Google's Toolbar is that it also allows you to search from the text within any web page. For example, if you're viewing a recipe on another site and want to know more about one of the ingredients, simply highlight that ingredient with your mouse, right click, and select NutritionData as the search type.
